ALEXANDER ZUNIGA, Ssgt
My name is Staff Sergeant Alexander Zuniga. I am currently recruiting out of West Jordan, UT. Before recruiting, I used to work at the 440 th Supply Chain Operations Squadron where my job was to ensure proper authorization and quantity levels of certain Air Force assets and then I worked for the 735 th Supply Chain Operations Group as a Local Area Network Technician. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two little dogs, and we are expecting another little addition to our family here in the next few weeks! We enjoy spending time with each other whether that be outdoors, watching TV, or our family favorite, eating. The thing I enjoy most about recruiting is developing (professional) relationships with applicants and being able to help them start a new direction in life. Most people are capable of great things, unfortunately not everyone finds themselves in an environment that pushes them to be better, which for some, can make a world of difference. Many people are forced to get a job doing anything that will bring in some sort of income while trying to figure out exactly what they want in life and sadly get to a point where they may feel "stuck." There are so many things to balance. The Air Force has helped me provide for my family with a stable income and benefits while also allowing me to explore new areas of interest and ultimately are paying for my education in whatever I decide to pursue.
CESAR AVALOS, Ssgt
My name is SSgt Cesar Avalos, I am the West Jordan Air Force Recruiter. I am based in West Jordan but cover an area from Sandy UT to Eagle Mountain. I am originally from Yuma AZ, so I am very excited to be in Utah. I enjoy Chess, Boxing, working with cars, videogames. Prior to becoming a recruiter I worked as an HVAC technician working with A/Cs, furnace, boilers, chillers. I enjoy recruiting because I get to send the future Airmen into the Air Force, I get to send civilians and see them comeback as Airmen!. Through my years in the Air Force I have learned that there are sacrifices that we have to do as military members (deployments, etc.) but the end result overweighs the downside.
